xar212 Again

xar212
This pattern is just yesterday’s pattern in a different colour and at just one size to give you an idea how it looks.

It is a pattern that is usable in a variety of colours and sizes. This was created and rendered in Daz while the pattern was made in Xara 9.

This pattern is something of an experiment in how to use motifs at various sizes.

The picture here is the preferred way that I intended this to look but I have posted the same pattern in various sizes to my Flickr stream and it is well worth a look.

Created and rendered in Daz while the pattern was made in Xara 9.

xar211 Back to the Future2

xar211

We have today the other two colour variations of the rather futuristic scene that uses my pattern xar211.

As ever the scene is created and rendered in Daz while the pattern was made in Xara 9. Printable versions are on my Flickr photostream here.

xar210 Back to the Future

xar210

We have a futuristic scene today in order to demonstrate a new pattern that would look good as a small motif design on future clothing.

The scene is the usual scene but with a rather nice mode of transport from Daz and the model dressed in the Sky Chase costume.

The pattern is one specially designed for this suit and I will show it in different colour and size variations over the next day or so. One thing I was also at pains to try to do was to make the material of the suit look both futuristic yet realistic and I hope that I have been able to achieve this.

A printable version of this image is available on my Flickr stream here.

xar209 Houndstooth

xar209

Now, at last, we at the last of the variations of xar209, and this is my own version of the traditional houndstooth material.

It is both a nice pattern and an easy fabric to use and so it’s simple to see why it was so popular and why it is in need of revival now. It can exist in a variety of colours and sizes but this, I think, looks the best. Those who know me will know how much I like small patterns with a fast repeat and so this is really ‘my’ sort of pattern!

This was assembled and rendered in Daz, the model is a Genesis2 (Olympia), the clothes are Neat Pleats and the patterns were created in Xara Designer 9.

xar209 variations

xar209

These are both colour and motif variations of the big and rather loose houndstooth design posted yesterday.

Again, they owe much to standard midcentury designs that you would have seen as fabrics for workwear or leisure clothing. It is also possible to produce more of houndstooth design which I will show tomorrow’

This is a sort of big and rather loose houndstooth design which is shown on a very large scale, I will show it much smaller later.

Again, it owes its origin to standard midcentury designs that you would have seen as fabrics for workwear or leisure clothing.
