Three Footstools With Cloth Patterns

These are three soft furnishing patterns created to cover items of home furniture and are here shown as they would appear if they were used on three footstools.

Whilst these patterns are not specifically mid-century, such material would have been available at the time although, it has to be said, mid-century furniture tended to be covered with muted floral patterns.

The patterns were made with Filter Forge and are intended to create a random texture suitable for use with furniture. Before you ask, I have experimented using more recent Belle Epoque 2 style patterns at a very small scale and the effect was both extremely satisfying and very modern and I promise to bring you the results a little later on.

If you wish, you can also see larger versions of this and, of course, my other designs and patterns for interiors on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
