Aff500 Pattern

This is pattern number 500 of the series made with Affinity Designer and I had a look back to find that I started using Designer at the end of April 2017, some two years ago. At that time I switched from Adobe Illustrator as my main pattern making software and since then I we have not felt the need to go back to it, at least for creating patterns at any rate.

This design incorporates much of my ideas about Belle Epoque 2 and it uses colours taken from my extended mid-century palette to create a soft yet interesting design. The background colour is one that I have not overused and is called cygnet.

The design was created with the intention of using it for soft furnishings, and in particular I intended to use it for curtain material. Once I have posted this, I will have a look at my various sets and see if I can find one that will show the pattern up well.

If you wish, you can also see larger versions of this and, of course, my other designs and patterns for interiors on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
