Aff485 Pattern

Having discovered that I can make wrapping paper mockups, I thought I would set about making some wrapping paper that could be used both as straightforward paper and also as paper in order to make gift bags.

The design is a simple one using mid-century colours from the colours in use at the time together with motifs which would have been common then, as they are today. The idea behind the design was to create a pattern which looks happy and uplifting without being too strong so as to overwhelm a parcel, be it big or small. Having given this matter a little thought I decided that I would probably show this as it would look as a gift bag design.

It perhaps goes without saying that this design fulfils my criteria for Belle Epoque 2 since it is colourful, has a small motif together with a fast repeat.

If you wish, you can also see larger versions of this and, of course, my other designs and patterns for interiors on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
