Aff469 Wallpaper Design

This was designed to be a wallpaper pattern and it was also intended to be very close to my ideas of Belle Epoque 2 since it has a small motif and a fast repeat which is designed to give it more of a solid look and so make it more flexible in use.

I saw it both as suitable for a feature wall because of the colouring but it should also prove suitable for more than one wall although, I agree, not all of the walls. I am looking forward to spending some time using this design as a texture in one of my wallpaper sets.

The motif is intended to resemble the kind of designs produced during the 1960s although it is perhaps true that at that time it would not have been used at so small a scale. The colours are taken from the mid-century range of colours that would have been used at the time and they do, indeed, look very mid-century making this a suitable wallpaper for a mid-century modern room today.

If you wish, you can also see larger versions of this and, of course, my other designs and patterns for interiors on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
