Domise Brun

Mid-century and art deco inspired surface pattern for soft furnishingIn preparation for using these patterns for commercial purposes, I have gone back to a naming system which you see above. I have not yet taken the step of producing these patterns although I may well do so in the near future.

This design is inspired by both 1950s mid-century motifs and also the motifs produced during the Art Deco period in Europe at the beginning of the 1900s. The colouring is part mid-century and part from this period which I think gives the design both an interesting retro look as well as being very suitable for use today.

This design was intended as a soft furnishing fabric for either curtains or upholstery and this is a use that I will explore a little later

If you wish, you can also see larger versions of this and, of course, my other designs and patterns for interiors on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
