Blue Floral

Mid-century inspired floral surface patternThis design was intended to be wallpaper and I created it with various colour backgrounds but this particular colour was the one that appealed and will probably be the one that I will use as a 3D texture.

It is a simple design using stock elements that I have accumulated over the years and which I keep in my element library. They owe their inspiration to mid-century designs and the colouring is mostly from the mid-century palette with the exception of the yellow which is a little more saturated.

If you follow my blog you will know that I’m not a fan of florals although, from time to time, I do create them, particularly when I want to use one in a 3D project.

If you wish, you can also see larger versions of this and, of course, my other designs and patterns for interiors on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
