Nice Simple Pattern

Simple mid-century inspired design for furnishing fabricThis is a nice, simple pattern with a fairly standard repeat that is designed to be an unobtrusive yet tasteful furnishing fabric for either furniture covering or perhaps curtains and cushions.

The basis of this design is simplicity and straight lines. Whilst it is not intended to catch the eye, the design is intended to show off the contours of furniture or the height and width of, for example, curtains or cushions. It is the sort of standard fare which you would find in any home operating in a supporting role below the features and the accents of colour which provide the highlights.

The inspiration for this design is largely my own although I, in my turn, am influenced strongly by the wealth of mid-century shapes, motifs and colours.

If you wish, you can also see larger versions of this and, of course, my other designs and patterns for interiors on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
