Mid-century Inspired Pattern

Living Room Flowers Swatch

This is a typical flower pattern that could have existed mid-century because, although colourful, the colours are all from a palette in use at the time.

The idea was to create a very decorated and bright living room wallpaper that is used on one wall only to provide an eye-catching feature wall.

According to my notes the background is eau de nil while the flowers use poppy red, reef red, Post Office red and finally bottle green.

Against plain walls the pattern brightens and room and also creates something that holds a visitor’s attention while not being to colourful to prove a distraction to the house owner.

If you would like to see larger versions of these designs and my other work then you can do so on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
