Blue Tiles

Mid-century Inspired Pattern

Blue Tiles Swatch

Blue is a nice colour and maybe a little overused for tiles and for kitchens and bathrooms but nevertheless it was the colour of choice for my latest pattern.

I wanted to create a ’tile’ type pattern to be used as a wallcovering that would be suitable for both a living area and for a kitchen or even, perhaps, for a bathroom or similar. This pattern is very mid-century based and uses colours that would have been more than familiar to the mid-century designer; anchusa (it’s a flower) against a magnolia background.

I have used it on the wall of my quite modern kitchen diner set deliberately to try and show how versatile I hope it is.

If you would like to see larger versions of these designs and my other work then you can do so on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
