Falling Seeds For The Wall

Falling Seeds For The Wall

Mid-century Inspired Pattern

Falling Seeds For The Wall Swatch

I like simple ideas as well as simple patterns and designs but, in fact, the mid-century designers tended to produce patterns that were anything but simple. However, there were some more minimal (as we would now call it) patterns, many of which owed much to the designs produced before the war.

The design uses mid-century colours and to an extent a motif that mid-century designers would recognise but does so (I hope) in a much more modern way. The idea I have used here is that of falling seeds or falling fruit from a tree.

This was intended for wall covering and in the room shown it produces a sophisticated yet simple wall that would show off the remainder of the room contents.

If you would like to see larger versions of these designs and my other work then you can do so on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
