White Flower Wall Art

White Flower Wall Art Swatch
This is a mid-century style pattern that has been used to create a piece of wall art intended for use in a modern, or even a mid-century inspired, room.
The colours used are from the mid-century British Standard palette in use at time and the motif is the sort of motif that you might have found then. According to my notes, the colours are lovely nightshade for the background and then the ever popular (and still a favourite today) magnolia for the stroke of the flowers.
The effect I tried to create is one of simplicity and also of cleanness and fineness of design. It was only after I had finished the pattern that I suddenly saw that it looked perfect as wall art rather than wallpaper or furnishing fabric and once I had created it in cinema 4D I was sure that it was the right choice. I will leave it to you to decide if I was right!
If you would like to see larger versions of these designs and my other work then you can do so on my Flickr page, a link to which is here.
