Kitchen Curtains Swatch

The kitchen is perhaps the one room of the house where we can be a little less influenced by our choice of overall decorative themes and let our hair down.

Mid-century patterns used, as they are here, with fairly bright colouring can provide unusual, noticeable and quite eye-catching designs which can really bring a kitchen or other utility area to life.

The motifs used in this design have their origin in the stylised flower-power designs of the late 1960s and the colours are taken directly from mid-century colours with the exception of the background which is a slightly deeper green to reflect modern tastes. The overall effect, and the overall intention, is to create a happier, more colourful and inspiring kitchen.

As ever, you can also see larger versions of this and, of course, my other designs and patterns on my fabulous and ever-growing Flickr page which is here.
