Modern Midcentury

One useful pattern that is not so often seen on the Internet these days – although it appears in almost every storefront and every Internet store – is the pattern designed for sofas and chairs.

This design uses as its inspiration the patterns that were made in the early 1950s by the emerging and extremely talented post-war artists. The colours, and the sole of the pattern, also have their roots firmly embedded in that fertile mid-century period.

The illustration above shows the pattern at a medium scale which suits the sofa extremely well.

As ever, you can should you so wish  also see larger versions of this and, of course, my other work on my Flickr page which is here.
