Expressive Curtains Swatch

This is a pattern that follows midcentury styles, colours and ideas although, it has to be said, the inspiration for the pattern is entirely mine.

Originally I was not sure whether this pattern was suitable but trying it as it would look if it were curtain fabric I began to change my mind. The swatch above shows the original pattern that I produced while the image shows how this pattern would look with a slightly coloured background. The effect is to transform the room from something which was rather grey and uncomfortable to a bright and airy look to a modern room.

In fact, I did try this with other background colours and realised that it had a lot more versatility than I first thought and it is quite likely that this will form one of the next batch of cushions that I will be creating this coming week or the week after. You can therefore expect to see this in my Redbubble portfolio of home design shortly.

You can, should you wish, also see larger versions of this and my other work on my Flickr page which is here.
