Mid-century inspired pattern

Slightly Experimental Wallpaper

This is a rather different and, in fact, rather experimental mid-century inspired wallcovering that I have created for the bedroom wall although I am now having second thoughts about that.

This is an old pattern that I used as wallpaper and which is available at Spoonflower which is being given a new treatment. I was very pleased with the result because it gives the paper a very different look creating much more contrast and bringing out the mid-century colours that I used.

I decided to try it on the old bedroom wall set that I have often used since I thought it would look good with the natural wood and the pink bed head. For that bedroom, perhaps, the wallcovering is a little busy and so if I get chance today or tomorrow I will try it as a wallpaper for a living room. However, for the moment, I wanted to post it to the internet to give me chance to see how it looked online. I always find posting things online and then looking at them in a variety of devices gives me a much better impression of how a design looks rather than simply looking at it on a desktop monitor.

Unfortunately this design is not available yet as wallpaper although it is perhaps something that I will consider if there is enough interest.

You can also see larger versions of this and my other work on my Flickr page which is here.
