Floating Bow Ties As Bedroom Wallpaper

Floating Bow Ties Swatch

Patterns and designs need not always be serious and sometimes a little humour can make a pattern, for example for wallpaper, just a little more light-hearted and interesting.

The bedroom is a good place for unusual wallpaper since the paper is seen less frequently, often perhaps only twice per day. This enables you to be a little more adventurous than you may want to be in the living room or the kitchen.

This wallpaper design consists of bow ties which are floating, or perhaps they are flying through the air in a wave-like pattern. There are a variety of colours used which has enabled me to choose my own colour for the adjoining wall and I have, in fact, chosen cyclamen. The curtains can likewise be almost any colour and in this case I chose parakeet which I think goes well with the other colours in the room and in the paper.

I have to be honest, I originally created this as a whimsy but having seen the results of using it in the bedroom I am more than pleased and I decided that it was a wallpaper design that I could showcase.

You can see more of my other work on my Flickr page which is well worth a look and which is here.
