Mid-Brunswick Green Swatch

Heavily coloured feature wallpaper can work so well in a large room so long as you are careful about the choice of colour and the size of the pattern.

This wallpaper, it’s called Corton, has a large-scale pattern and is available in a variety of colours from blue to red including, of course, a very nice mid-Brunswick Green.

In the room, the pattern shows up well along the length of the wall against the wood floorboards and the brickwork pillar at the end. Overall the impression is one of subtle, laid-back opulence with the pattern in the wallpaper showing through and taking the eye swiftly along the room.

A wallcovering like this is not for every room, being more suitable for the larger house or apartment and benefiting best, in my view, where it is paired with wood and other natural materials.

The wallpaper, in various colours, is available from Spoonflower and a link is shown here. You can see more of my other work on my Flickr page which is well worth a look and which is here.
