Royal Maroon

mid-century inspired fabric design in royal maroon

Royal Maroon

A simple and unostentatious design can sometimes look really nice when you happen to be lucky and pick the colours that work well together.

This design uses simple repeating spirals and circles to create a look that is timeless and really quite elegant and sophisticated when used here as fabric for both the curtains and the cushions. To be honest I was pleased with the result and I am not sure if it works better as curtaining or as material for the cushions.

The motif is inspired by mid-century ideas and the colours are from the British Standard mid-century palette, the background being lovely royal maroon.

As ever, you can also see larger versions of this and my other work on my Flickr page which is here.
