A feature Wall In Use

Feature Wall Pattern

OK, so I admit it, even I was a little out of my comfort zone with this super colourful and attention-grabbing pattern!

But there’s a purpose behind all this (isn’t there always) and it’s to show both how a feature wallpaper can work and to also show that you needn’t be afraid of colour and pattern.

In the apartment (yes, I have used it quite a few times recently and I really need another set) this paper is used as the covering for the window wall. Here it looks bold and appears to be making a statement. But in reality both the pattern and the colour are well under control.

Using a feature wall gives the option to use a colour taken from the pattern as the paint for the wall holding the outside doors and in this case I have chosen the red colour. The effect is both modern and sophisticated as well as looking, I think, rather cool.

As ever, you can also see larger versions of this and my other work on my Flickr page which is here.
