Stylised Fruit Pattern

Some patterns seem to be almost perennial and this variant has appeared more than once in most of the mid-century decades.

What is so nice about it is the simplicity and the cool colours and also it’s adaptability since it is capable of fulfilling a variety of jobs. The motif began life as a piece of fruit but, as you can see, it has morphed into something quite different (and sort of cute).

It is shown here just as a double piece of material to give an idea of how it would look as fabric along with a regular swatch but it’s uses are endless as are its colour variations.

As ever, you can also see larger versions of all these images and more on our Flickr page which is here.
