Wallpaper For The 1970s

The 1970s in the United Kingdom was a time for fun and stylised flowers, in fact the stylised version of the flower became a well known and respected symbol of the era.

Here the humble flower is used in perfusion as a simple yet effective pattern for a wallpaper in the 1970s room. Did rooms host such in-your-face designs on the walls in that decade? You bet they did, the 1970s was the era of mixing and matching and experimenting with patterns sometimes to great success and sometimes not.

As ever, you can also see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
