New Room – New Curtains!

I have built a new room for my mid-century wallpaper and curtain fabric designs and launched it straight into the 1970s!

Yes, I know it’s Easter but I got fed up with partying and having fun so I’m in here for an hour or so to pick up where I left off. The room is a simple one with just two items of furniture, some walls and a window. It was made in Cinema 4D and this program is used to produce the image. The wood texture, by the way, is my new attempt to make reasonable looking wood using Filter Forge and I am quite pleased with the result.

The pattern for the walls is my 1970s wallpaper design that I have used before but the curtains are all new. The design is very 1970s as are the colours and this curtain material, if it were real, would look perfect in a UK 1970s semi-detached house! The texture for the curtains is obtained largely by using the new(ish) Irwan shader in C4D on, more or less, the default settings.

As ever, you can also see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
