Geometric Mid-Century Inspired Bedroom Wallpaper

Geometric designs on wallpaper were very popular mid-century although they seem to have faded away in favour of blank walls these days.

This pattern is a nice and very simple geometric style motif against a very 1970s looking colour and is used in the mid-century bedroom scene that I often employ for wallcoverings. The pattern itself is one that might have been popular in the middle years of the 1960s in the UK. The colours, as ever, are based on actual hues that were used to decorate rooms at that time.

The pattern was constructed using Xara Designer while the room, and the image above, were made using Cinema 4D. Again, the materials that you see have been upgraded and the render itself uses Global Illumination which I think makes the room look much nicer.

You can also see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
