1970s Style Curtains

The 1970s in the UK was a time of exuberance, innovation and then a rapid spiral into what would ultimately become chaos.

Patterns proliferated using all of the talent of the 1960s and some of the nicest colours ever to have been put on walls. Boldness was the order of the day and patterns would be found on any surface that was capable of hosting them.

The pattern on the curtains in this 1970s room is shown against a coloured wall rather than a patterned wall, as would probably have been the case, in order to show the design more clearly.

You can also see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
