Mid-Century Style Floor Tiles

Nightshade is a lovely colour from the mid-century palette but it can be a rather difficult and unusual colour to use.

For some time I have been looking for a project that would allow me to use this colour and the opportunity has now presented itself. This is my mid-century kitchen now using a tile design and cabinets in nightshade.

The effect is very different from the kitchen lino projects I have posted before and a darker colour has made the kitchen look completely different. Whether this would work with another dark colour is something that we will have to see but the result has certainly made me want to try.

You can also see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
