A Birthday Bedroom Wallpaper

Today is a birthday of someone very special in my life and that is the reason for this pattern and the title to this post.

The pattern is a floral one and a floral patterns have been around probably ever since patterns were first created. Having said that, this design is based on the type of mid-century floral patterns that abounded in the 1950s and were, to be honest, something of a relic from the pre-war days.

The colours are mid-century colours taken from the British Standard range of colours while the room is my mid-century bedroom set which I think shows this texture well. I chose a strong background colour and this has had the effect of making the room look a little dark and so I have lightened the final image, apart from that everything else is as it was rendered. The design was created in Xara Designer while the set and the render were madeĀ using Cinema 4D.

You can also see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
