Kitchen Floor Covering

Mid-century kitchens were not exactly a riot of colour and style but in the UK the decade from 1950 onwards saw the rise of both patterned lino and vinyl floor covering.

This particular design uses mid-century ideas and colours to produce a pattern which could well have graced the floor in a mid-century kitchen.

Having created this design, it was created using Xara Designer, I applied it as a texture to a kitchen floor that I created in Cinema 4D specifically for the purpose of showing floor coverings. Having done so I was perhaps a little unsure that the design would work but after some adjustments to the scale I decided that I would show the design and I now feel much happier with it and the look that I have created.

You can also see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
