A Bedroom Wallpaper Design

This is a very simple but I think a very nice wallpaper design intended for a bedroom and created using mid-century ideas and colours.

The colours are designed to mimic those colours used in the UK in the 1960s while the pattern is an apparently random collection of motives. Like most wallpapers, however, the pattern has a horizontal form as well as a diagonal look which helps to show the dimensions of the wall.

I have used my mid-century bedroom set and I decided that the householder would probably have used the wallpaper on both the back wall and the window wall. Although it does make the room looked rather busy, I feel that this sort of wallpaper at that time would have been used on all the walls of the room.

You can also see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
