A Relaxing Bedroom Wallpaper

The mid-century in the UK saw the appearance of a mix of new and impressive designs along with reinterpretations of older and much loved motifs which had stood the test of time.

Leaf and floral designs are as old as wall decoration itself and in the decades preceding the Second World War as well as in the previous century, floral decorations adorned many walls. Florals can be both large motifs or a collection of much smaller designs all of which are taken from nature. This particular design takes a mid-century leaf motif, coloured as for winter, as a starter and uses that to produce an interesting and relaxing pattern for the wallcovering.

The set is my mid-century bedroom set created in Cinema 4D while the design for the wallcovering was produced in Xara Designer.

You can also see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
