A Mid-Century Inspired Tiled Kitchen Wall

The mid-century years in the UK saw an upsurge in DIY which transformed many living areas and provided ordinary householders with skills that they probably thought they could never master.

One particular area was the kitchen where householders constructed and fixed new kitchen units and work surfaces and also spent time brightening the kitchen walls with new wallpaper and tiling. This project is a design for a kitchen tile which is intended to be bright and cheerful and to make the kitchen easy to keep clean.

The tile was created in Xara Designer while the room is a detail of my mid-century kitchen set which was created in Cinema 4D which program was also used for the render.

You can also see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
