Wallpaper For A Modern Bedroom – Ai261

Mid-century wallpaper

This is a wallpaper, I have to be honest, that I have tried to do for sometime now and finally I have succeeded in getting it to look the way I want.

Once again, this design has very strong mid-century roots and is inspired by many of the patterns that were being produced in the early 1950s. As you will probably by now know, I enjoy patterns that have small motifs and frequent repeats and this design with its lines and small squares is very much the sort of pattern that I like producing.

I made the pattern in one colour intending it to be used as a wallpaper for the bedroom set as I realised that I had not used this set for sometime and the colouring lends itself to a bedroom wall. I think the final result looks very much like a 1950s bedroom although, I have to admit, that it might not appeal to modern tastes.

The image was produced in Cinema 4D using my mid-century bedroom set and with some slight alteration to the colouring in Photoshop.

You can see larger versions of this and our other work on our Flickr page which is here.
