A standard mid-century furniture fabric pattern

A standard mid-century furniture fabric pattern

This is a really nice furnishing fabric that I created for a 3D project that I am presently working on for a sofa and chair in a mid-century house.

The pattern is constructed using ideas from the 1950s while the colours are chosen from the British Standard palette of the day. However, having said that, this fabric could look just as good today although, it has to be said, the colours might be thought a little conservative.

However, a journey back in time to the 1950s or 1960s (but not the 1970s) would see many similar fabric patterns used as furnishing fabrics in rooms all over the UK.
