A 1960s influenced material

A 1960s influenced material

Pink for a girl? Well, maybe but this is a pattern and a fabric that could have a great many uses around the home.

The colour is cyclamen, a British Standard colour from the 1960s which also appears from time to time today. The design is modern but you could also find it, and similar ones, used in many mid-century fabrics and patterns for textiles and, in different colours, for furnishing and wall coverings.

I had thought to use it for wallpaper but, to be honest, I have done a lot of wallpaper recently and so I decided to use it as a material. I am experimenting with Daz Studio to produce better looking models for fashion so, in the mean time, I have produced this as a swatch of material in two views to show the pattern close up and as it would look from a distance.

The design was created in Adobe Illustrator and the image was produced using Cinema 4D.
