It is some time since I did a floor-covering and so here is a very nice lino pattern to grace the floor of the hallway I created some time ago.

The advantage of floors is that you get a nice, large space to use with some bits and pieces to play with. In fact I made a better quality image which I will post shortly this afternoon.

This floor covering design was created in Xara Designer and the set was made and rendered in Daz and uses the PICK components.

There has been so much cycling on the TV recently that I thought I ought to join in and have a cycling pattern virtual fabric of my own.

This is a general purpose sort of design that looks so nice on the top I use as you can see. The pattern was designed with Xara designer and it is assembled and rendered in Daz Studio using a Genesis figure and the Patti top.

Transportation patterns are difficult to do because they need to be fun, interesting patterns but at the same time they need to be inconspicuous.

This pattern was designed from the outset as a pattern for seating and is shown here in the Maxis vehicle which is available from Daz. One problem is in setting the scale of the pattern and I have opted for a style which makes the pattern perhaps a little more noticeable than seating patterns are normally shown. The Maxis vehicle is designed as a vehicle for the future and so I can get away with this by saying that this is how transportation fabrics will look in the years to come!

I intended this fabric design as being suitable for a high traffic area but unfortunately the railway carriage that I bought needs some further trials before I am able to use it to produce final renders although this fabric was destined as a carriage fabric.  It’s background is therefore made to resemble moquette, a more hard-wearing fabric created in a similar way to the way that carpets are made.

I have to admit that I like doing the sort of pattern and I now have several vehicles I can use along with an excellent railway carriage for the Daz software.

The pattern was designed with Xara designer and is assembled and rendered in Daz Studio.

A simple pattern produces a lovely mid-century inspired design that makes up into a perfect virtual fabric.

The base layer is zephyr while the lines are cyclamen in one and then the base is lovely marigold and the lines midnight blue for a perfect colour combination in the second.

This was created in Xara Designer and assembled and rendered in Daz.
