Geometric shapes were (and for that matter still are) important in pattern design in the middle years of the last century.

The design here uses a simple six-sided shaped along with some connecting lines and two very mid-century base colours. The first is canary yellow and the second, to act as a contrast, is straight black.

The end result is two very different looking but nicely contrasting wall coverings.

The patterns were created in Xara Designer and the render was in Shade.
