xar208 Polka Dots

As last we come, as come we must, to the various variations of the classic polka dot pattern.

Although there exist a good many variations, there are really only three ways to put the dots on the pattern. One way is to make them symmetrical, the other way is to make them unsymmetrical, and the third way, which is perhaps the more fun way, is to make them random and, if you like, of random sizes as well.

The ones shown here are both symmetrical and unsymmetrical and whether you make them one or the other makes a considerable difference to the look of the finished fabric as it will be obvious from the four finished patterns on the model. I will come to random polka dot patterns later on but the overall effect is more or less the same as unsymmetrical.

You can see the finished pattern on my Flickr page here.

As usual, this was assembled and rendered in Daz, the model is a Genesis2 (Olympia), the clothes are Neat Pleats and the patterns were created in Xara Designer 9.
