The 1960s Room With Wallpaper xar184

This style of paper, and I know it takes a small leap of faith to believe it, was a popular paper in the 1950s and 1960s.

Quite where the inspiration for this design originated I am not sure, but there were quite a few patterns that consisted of small squares each of which has its own pattern inside. The overall effect is an unusual one and one that you would certainly not see used today except perhaps as a furnishing fabric and then with a small motif.

However this was the way that some 1960s rooms looks decorated with this paper. This would, of course, be available in a variety of colours although in the early 1960s green was a popular choice and I have shown it using this. I have also taken the liberty of using it as a feature paper on one wall, this would not normally have been the window wall but this just happens to be a convenient wall to use from the point of view of 3D modelling.

I will try using this pattern as a furnishing pattern and see if this is also worth posting.
